Yahoo has this article that suggests that the color of your car tells something about your personality...your accountant ideally has a silver car and an emerald green car driver is the happiest or most optimistic, but they also have the biggest mood swings. http://finance.yahoo.com/family-home/article/105057/What-Your-Car-Color-Reveals-About-Your-Psyche How did I choose my car color -- well it was the car that was on sale that I could afford in the model that I wanted - it is forest green! What I would like in a car color and why?? Well a light color -- so it stays cooler in the summer. Tell me about your car color and why?

We have a red Monte Carlo. Red because that is what they had and my husband picked it out. We did have a red mustang so it must be something about him and red cars. hahaha I am like you and would love to have a light color but the red don't seem to be too bad in the summer.

My mother prefers red cars...her rationale -- the rust does not show!

Not sure about the red not showing the rust yet but we do live on the coast where it is salty humid air. I do know though that people don't seem to see the color red and love to try to pull out in front of us. I guess that is why so many tend to run red lights and those big red stop signs. haha

2005 Buick LeSabre - The color is called Steel Mist
This is my car. Taken recently in the dark and not edited. Sorry. but anyhow it is called Steel Mist as far as the color. It is a silvery blue color actually. I originally wanted it in Pearl White but it would be a few weeks till it could be shipped to my dealers lot so I settled for the steel mist. Pearl White is like an eggshell white but with shiny flakes in it and a creamy colroing. Hard to explain but awesome looking. I liked the appearance of this color I have in the sun is the reason I choose it over the others on the lot when it was bought brand new. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Well, I think the color is important...I really dislike the school bus yellow as a car color. I would not drive a car that color. Steel Mist - I wonder how they come up with these names.

My Grade Seven Teacher had a yellow truck and on the last day of school all of the boys Toilet Papered it! Even though I'm thirty I'll never forget that!!! He always parked in exactly the same spot and so you could never miss that yellow and always knew when you had a supply! I have no idea why he kept that truck...He had it for many years...even after he retired! He was known for it and it was his only vehicle! ~Heavens~

Much like you, I got my car based on the fact that it was the one that was most economical for me. It's kind of a gold, wheat type color....difficult to describe. If I had to pick a car color with money not being an option, I would go for black which, I guess, puts me at the bottom of the confidence level......hmmmmmm, seems about right

Nope it was brand new, my car was on sale, it was the model I wanted and it was the amount of money I had saved.

Ours is Maroon because it was what we could afford and that was the color it was..... If I could choose it would be a nice deep red color! ~Heavens~

I like Maroon, I think that was the color of my parent's last car. But somehow, when it comes down to buying a car - the color is probably my lowest priority and if I had the luxury of choosing a color...I am not sure if I could make a decision quickly, white or silver would be my first choices.

I'm not big on white as it shows the dirt so easy and is so common and plain...Silver can be nice though but also very common.... I must admit that color is pretty low on my list...I would be looking for the options and size that we need and comfort before color to be honest! I'd love to upgrade to at least a 2000 or better! Our car is fourteen years old! ~Heavens~

I have a white car. I picked that color because it seems to be one that cops are less likely to pull over or notice. One bad thing is that other drivers tend to think I am a cop so they slow down (usually while in front of me) until they realizer otherwise.

I am trust happy to have a car that runs, so if it runs...I do not care about the color.

I would rather worry about it working rather than the colour my friend.

I have a red car and a tan can. Quite a contradiction according to one part of the article. The other part says that I have less than average confidence - I probably want to give the appearance of being more than I am? If I have the luxury of choosing the color of the car I drive, I would pick a lovely green. I usually pick the lesser of evils that are available when I buy off the lot. And light staying cooler in summer is the way to go. If I only knew before we moved.
