Hanson vids from the day of the concert in Falls Church, VA

Earlier in the afternoon before the concerts they do a mile walk close to the venue. It is because their last album was called The Walk, and they have partnered with a company called Toms Shoes, for every pair of Toms Shoes bought at the merch. booth at the show ordered from Hanson's website another pair is donated to a child in Africa. They encourage you to take the walk barefoot(some do some don't), basically walking a mile like some of the children in Africa have to walk all day every day in hopes that will be incentive for you to purchase a pair of shoes. It's done pretty good so far because they've already sold over 50,000 pairs. Anyway, before the walk, midway through it and again at the end they(usually always Taylor) give a speech on the reason for the walk.
