MAC Studio Talk Event

Hey folks! Wow, I had such a great day today. I signed up for this MAC Studio Talk event. It's like a class. It was $50 to sign up but if you show up and take the class, then you get that $50 towards product. If you don't show up then you're out $50. Anyway, they sit you about 4 people to a table with 1 professional MAC makeup artist. Today they were teaching how to do a great day look, and transform it into an evening look in just a few minutes. Our artist was great, so informative and helpful. I've never been to a thing like this but it was wonderful. I tend to be into the alternative/punk look, and I learned so many of the really cool tricks that I've been dying to get a handle on. I prettymuch bought the entire package and went home with some great makeup and brand new skills that I can't wait to utilize. Has anyone else ever been to an event like this? Was it super helpful or was it a crappy experience? And do you know of any other makeup brand that has as vibrant pigments as MAC? And also, do you think MAC is worth the price? I definitely do, because it lasts so long and goes on so well you don't need to waste it reapplying or use a ton of it to try to get it on right in the first place. And, of course, we love that they don't test on animals. ^.^
