on line friendships

Do you make friends with people from on line?
Are you active in Chat rooms etc and have you gone to meet these people?
I am on a chatboard at chat.jamiewhite*com/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi
there is a poster there (RSM) who follows me and slings insults. While I have met many of the users of that chat- I think I could never meet this person without wanting to poke them in the eye though.
I am interested in your experiences

Yes i have not too good ones but i have a few that i've been talking to for years

i made some friends on online games ,than i shared my e-mail with them and we are good friends now. i think this aint bad you just have to know theese friends for about 1 year and than you can trsut them if you think they are trusty.
