What do you think about people accidently hitting their caps key and than typing with upper case letters: LIKE THIS. What do you think about it? To me, it makes me think that they are screaming at me when they post to me on here. I know that they might not recognize the fact that their caps are on, but, they should at least pay attention to it. But now, sometimes it's O.K. to type with your caps on, like if you are wanting to express a point. Than it would be O.K. But, for all of the whole post, now that's getting out of hand. Don't ya think? What do you all think?

You are quite right, using all capital letters is considered as shouting and impolite on the internet. I have often caught the Caps Lock key and typed a message, then looked up and thought "Oh No, not again", but I always amend it before posting.

I agree with ya Asylum. I hate having my caps on all of the time. I try to make myself remember to see if that i do have it on or not.

Did you ever consider that some are old or have seeing problems and need to type in caps to see what they are typing. It gets me that the keyboard belongs to me, I pay for the internet and some think they can control what and how I do things on here. If you don't like caps that is your opinion. I know there are times when I use them, if I am having problems seeing. But I guess I am just tired of people telling me what and how to run this computer. I'm sorry I am not trying to be mean, just who says it is wrong. The few who want things their way.

yeah, i did thought about that while i was typing the original post. I wasn't meaning it to the elderly folks. i meant it to the younger generations. If the post did offend you, I am very sorry. and wasn't meaning no harm to the elderly. only to the ones that know what they are doing, and do leave their caps on for out of spite to the internet users. I hope that you understand that my post is not trying to offend people. but, only the fact that there are some people that do try to offend people out there, by using the caps. i know that there are some out there that don't know much about the internet, and about the caps law of the internet. no offense to that. but, to the ones that are doing it for spite, or for attention. is where I am getting at. there are a lot of people

If someone hits the caps lock in error and the post comes out in capitals, why don't they notice it before posting? I think it must be done deliberately to get attention, but I don't see many posts like that on myLot. I think it is quite OK to put one or two words in upper case for emphasis.

really. That's what i have always wondered myself. Looks like that they'd recognize it being on after they send the post to be published on here. it's not polite to do that on the internet. and there are some forums that forbid using all caps. Most of them do anyway. But, here at mylot, i don't see how the person can get away with that. ya know?: cus mylot uses this simple security to alert you if you do have all caps. i think that the persons that do use all caps, they start off with lower caps, and than use the high caps.

The whole caps thing doesn't bother me much. I personally only use it to express a point or call attention to an important word but some people don't realize they are doing it. For me it is the tone and intention of the post that usually comes through loud and clear no matter how they type it.

I'm really annoyed by people who do this. I don't really believe it's possible not to see when you're typing in caps lock. I mean, everybody looks at their post before actually posting it, right? This would never happen to me, that's for sure!

its seems that they are trying to get attention. i have seen this in case of a friend here. all the iscussion she starts has capital kletter in headings. i know taht its not by mistake but on purpose. may be to make discussion more visible.

Yes.Most people don't like to read the message in all caps. but one thing puzzle me is that why some people would say it is not poliet. For me,i think it is different, some of my clients would type the words all in caps, then I would reply to them in caps too.

your right it sucks i did it in a report and had to rewrite my friend also thugt i was yelling at him when i sended him a message saying something and he took it a little the wrong way. I have a mac so when i do a light shows up on the caps lock key when it on. People should just use shift instead. but its a shortcut for people to use
