Why there are still battered wife?

It is a sad fact that still many male species of my kind still succumb to their hormones and could not control their aggressions against women. I am sad and ashamed that there are still many who are enslaved by these behaviour. I am glad that I am not one of those that has that kind of behavior. I have grown in a loving family and I am carrying that value to this day for my wife and my child. i do accept that I am not a perfect and ideal man that every woman would want but I try to be the best that I am. And most of all I try to be loving to my wife and understand her as an imperfect too which from time to time commits mistakes and do amends for her own mistakes. I try not to enforce my strength over her even at times i do accpet I am tempted but I am able to control it despite that.

In my country, battering wives is away of life for some societies, a man who is not seen to be authoritarian or beating up his wife once in a while is considered weak and unmanly-in my own culture, women invite beatings upon themselves, infact, they feel loved if their husbands beat them once in a while, so battering as you see it has some very complicated value attachments which make condmning it outright very difficult by some cultures in Africa, I dont condone it myself, i would never and have never beaten my wife, but when i go to my own village and hear women complaining that their husbands have not beaten them for a long time and they even hatch plans to invite a beating upon themselves, then I am often left terribly confused about this subject.

There are still battered wives because, unfortunately, nothing's changed in terms of preventing it from happening. If the root cause(s) isn't dealt with, then the problem will remain.

well...it's maybe because woman are still strongly hold on their vows in marriage that they should submit their selves to their husband ....and also because they are most concern to at least saved their family to not be broken..** THat's the spiRit of Woman that HOPefully MAn will KNOW it's importance # @jam@ ~live life~ keep it simple..***
