Wrong Grammar

I know there are many mylotters from many different countries and speak different languages. I think most of us uses English as a second language. I admit I don't have a "million dollar english"...lol.. I mean I don't speak good English but I always try my best to post discussions as good as I can manage. And I don't really care about spellings, wrong grammar or bad syntax... it doesn't make a big difference...if I can understand what she/he is trying to say then I will respond to that discussion.
My question is, what are you going to do if you found an interesting subject but the discussion details are bad? I mean, wrong grammar, speeling error or bad syntax. Are you gonna respond to that discussion? Please I want your opinion about this. And please tell me if my grammar is poor :( .... Be honest! "HOnesty is the best policy!".
CIAO!!!
Have a great weekend!

English is my second language as well. For me, as long as I understand the discussion then I will definitely reply on it. No, your English is just okay, we can clearly understand you. Cheers!

I respond to any discussion I find interesting and lucky for me I actually have friends that do start discussions like that. English is not my mother language so I am sure I have started discussions with bad grammar myself, so far nobody complained, insulted or corrected me in that regard but if they do I will admit to them it is not my mother language and the last time I learned grammar was in high school which was almost 2 decades ago. I do have a couple of responses to my discussions with bad grammar, spelling or even worse I don't understand and it's not even a sentence sometimes. Usually I will skip or just ask back - if they go back and explain, good. if not, that's fine I'm not troubled unless it's an insult or rude or has nothing to do with discussion I will not rate negative.
That said, I am not in position to judge your discussion in regards to grammar, spelling etc I don't even remember what syntax is :)

As long as I can understand the question and I could relate to it I would respond to it. I am foreign to this language also. Understanding question is one thing responding to it is another. About your question it looks good to me, I never have to re-read it, but then again I am not in a position to know the difference.

Hi May, English is my second language too. I try to answer discussions even if it has wrong grammar and spelling, as long as I can understand what he/she is trying to express. MyLot is the best place to practice our English grammar and spelling, and I believe that "Practice makes Perfect".
P.S. Don't worry girl, you're English is good . And this is the place to practice your "million dollar english" Have a nice day.

I think you are doing a great job with English! It is my first language, and I ain't that great with it! lol
If I come up on a discussion that has poor grammar, spelling , or whatever, I always look past that stuff and see what the discussion is about, and try to respond accordingly. There have only been a couple of instances where I had no clue what the poster was going for or trying to say, but usually you can figure it out!
Congrats on the English! you are doing great!

I am not either good about grammar and I can't rate you! LOL! I always respond to my friend's topic or post regardless of grammar, spelling or whatsoever! I am more on content, as long as I got the concept, I will go for it. The thing that will stop me from responding is only my knowledge about the topic, If I have no idea about it, I will just escape from responding!

I would still respond to the discussion even if I do find some errors in it. You see, English is my second language too. I do commit some glaring errors sometimes, so I'm still honing my skills. Although I would admit it really motivates me to respond to a discussion that has a perfect command of the english language.

You are very correct that most of us are not from a country where english is first language. Instead most user are from the countries where english is used as a second language. So it is quite usual that many of us can make simple spelling and grammertical mistakes. Subject of the discussion is more important than the spelling and grammer part. Okay we cannot neglect both these importanw aspects but we should give consideration to the fact about the users we have here.

Hi sweta ,we should give consideration to the fact that most users are not from english speaking countries. So with little more attention we can understand what the person is trying to say. I do make mistakes but i love to be here for my friends and fun. So it is immaterial that if there is some mistakes. I don't want to be rude but want to say if you recheck the post of yours then you find a lot of mistakes. But thats not my poinp. I mean we just overlook and should pay more attention to the subject of discussions.

Honestly, I don't mind the grammar or spelling of the discussion maker whether it's right or wrong. As long as I understand the story behind their discussion or the topic is nice I posted a response to them.
Maybe you were right to say that english is our international languange but we also have to consider that there are still some nations or countries that does not have an english curriculum on their school and it makes them hard to express theirselves in english.

I am one of the many people here in mylot that English is not the primary language. I also have a friend, who asked if you are going to leave mylot if, just like him, has a very little English vocabulary. I told him, not. And on your question, I will also reply to that discussion even if grammar and etc. are not good or not perfect. That, as long as I can understand what he would like to say or, if I can relate to his discussion, even with my few English words...

well, since my keyboard s**ks these days, i'm too shameful for the wrong types..making it make me look a bit stupid. but hey, it's my pc's fault and im not so keen in posting right away...not noticing errors. so whenever i find some grammar errors on some posts, i dont mind...we just have to get the ideas and then respond!
and to be honest...your grammar's ok dear.

Be honest, I think U English is very well, including the grammer.
English is my second language, too.
And the purpose that I come here is to improve my English, so I always read people's discuss carefully, and record the sentences, phrases and words that worth remebering.
Of course, sometime I found the grammer for some discuss is not so well, but I will repond it too, and absorb the thngs that I need.

I also seen so many grammer & spelling mistakes here. If I can understand I respond, but it is not easy if we can't understand, what they are trying to say.

English is my 3rd language thats why I find it very hard to comprehend most of the discussions here. I got a lot of mistakes I accept that, but its okay since we all learn in our mistakes. Meaning if we dont commit mistakes we will never learn or have the chance to improve something.
You are good in english you know that. You wont be there in your location now if you don't know how to communicate in english well, because if not, I'm sure you will end up with a filipino seaman instead of a white man like your husband.
