i am friendly with my ex only because we have children. Otherwise I wouldn't ever speak to him again.

I am on good terms with my ex now, but it took many years. I have been divorced 15 years now. In the beginning I was so full of anger and resentment. I had very little to do with him. But we had 3 children together so it was hard. As the kids got older and I moved on and regained my self esteem, I was able to get along with him better.
