Is anyone an member of Ravelry?

Has anyone here received an invitation to Ravelry? I got mine a few weeks ago and I love it. It has a page where you can keep track of your hooks, another where you can queue patterns that you find online that you want to make. You can also show off so to speak things that you have made and find free patterns!

I had never heard of Ravelry until recently when I posted a discussion about yarn and someone brought up in their response that Ravelry was hiring. I only glanced at the site, but I plan on going back again to check it out further.

I don't know if its changed but when I joined I had a bit of a wait to get completely signed up! I love it! Its so nice to have a place where everyone understands my obsession with yarn!!

I haven't joined, although I am beginning to feel that I am the only one who hasn't. I feel that it would fuel the need to buy more yarn and notions which I cannot afford.

Yeah, I really can't afford to buy yarn so I have to really restrain myself. I'm very lucky though as my mother owns a yarn shop in the UK so she often sends me yarn gifts.

LOL, I've started getting my yarn and like the Good Will store, a lot of people just donate their yarn, or consignment shops, I've even gotten some at yard sales!

I'm on Ravelry too! I'm a knitter though, not a crocheter, I've never managed to get the hang of crocheting and have only used it for edgings on knitted garments. I plan to try my hand at amigurumi though as the dolls seem quite simple and they look so cute!

I've made the ami love bug, it is really easy. I've been crocheting for 17 years and I whipped one of those babies out in a day! I've never knitted but my mom said its pretty easy so I'm going to attempt to teach myself! I'm stormeetigress over there!
