I Dont Get It?! Youtube

I was on youtube last night enjoying my favorite Nickelback videos, well after watching them a few times I get bored with the video and start looking around. I started reading the comments and couldnt believe what I was reading. Why would you look up an artist you can not stand then trash the comments section? I hate it, I looked them up because I enjoy the music and like to see what people do with the videos. Its very agravating to see nasty things written there.

Yes, I agree with you - it is annoying and counterproductive to look up some band you don't like and trash them. It's just a way for people to be jerks - unfortunatly the internet is full of people that just want to piss other people off.

It is pretty crazy what you read. But these people are doing this because they can hide behind an identity on internet. Therefore they can insult, make fun of someone/a band with ought any consequences.
On a more phsycological level, I would believe these people want to feel superior in some way. So they go around the internet and write mean comments about an artist or a person in order to make them feel more superior. Pretty sad in a way but this is what I believe. I tend to just ignore it as the comments are pretty pointless and there is no point in fighting people (in a polite, logical way), as they will always reply stupidly.
