Who named you and who were you named after?!!

Hey friends,All of us have a name.. Some may have even 2 or more names. Do you know who actually named you? In our customs, our parents must name us 3 times after reciting some verses. But these names are actually suggested by our relatives. My grandfather suggested my name and my parents named me. They utter the child's name near its ears three times.:-) My aunt also suggested few names for me. but my parents had to ignore her since my grandfather had already decided to name me as Padma. Some of them here name their child after their parents. That is the child is named after its paternal grandfather or grandmother respectively if its a boy and girl. So who named you? And who were you named after??
