Firstly before you even look at puppies you need to find a decent breeder, this is incredibly important, im not talking about looking through the freeads and picking the first one you find. Search call them chat to them check out the health tests they do NEVER in this day and age buy from untested dams and sires, its asking for horribly expensive vet bills. If the health tests are good and the breeders are nice then its wait until they have a litter due. As for picking the puppy that truly depends on what you want, if you have a dominant dog already then look for a quieter but not nervous dog, you dont want the pup to br bullied but you also dont want a hugely confident dog whos going to be starting trouble. Look for a puppy with bright eyes whos fairly clean happy to be handled watch how they walk play interatc with the others, most importantly if your not sure walk away. Its hard but if you go against your instincts it could be a whole heap of trouble.

Hi there thank you for your great advice, yes good breeding is so very important, I understand your point about the vet bills. Are the health tests they do standard tests? Cheers Esther
