When do you clean your house? Morning, afternoon or night?

Most times I try to straighten up the house in the mornings when I wake up. I might as well. My brain isn't alert enough to do any kind of work online. I can't tell you how many times I've messed up my blog by posting half asleep.
So morning time works out well for me. By the end of the day, I'm way too tired to care about a few stray toys or newspapers. But, in the morning, I feel fresh and energized enough to tackle the problem head on. The bad part is, that I have to wake up to a messy house.
I guess there's a downside to everything. So, when do you prefer to clean your home? When you first wake up in the morning and have more energy? Or, just before you go to bed?

You would think that becouse I am here during the day alone that that would be the best time for me. I do clean a little during the day like empting the dishwasher or putting on a load of clothes. However most of my house work gets done in the evening when I have finished my work on line and gotten every one in bed. I can't make my self wake up to dirty dishes that is one of my pet peeves. I make sure everything is done before I go to bed. So I guess mine is spread out thought the day.

Usually I would clean the house in the morning, get things ready before doing other things. I guess because I know that somehow if I start doing something else, I would be stuck with that something and wouldn't go back to cleaning.

I don't like to clean so when I do it is not scheduled at all. I do find that I do more cleaning in the afternoon and at night.

I usually try to get my household chores done in the morning, when I have the energy and not in too much pain. I have spent most of this morning doing housework and now I can afford to treat myself to a little time here :-)

I am a neat freak and clean my house all of the time. I will not go to bed if it is dirty. I can always find something to clean. Even if it is just moving my furniture around. Plus I have 3 teenage kids at home and they always have something that needs done.

i prefer to clean the house in the morning. actually that's the first thing i do when i wake up (if i'm not hungry lol). That's because I can't stand seeing the house messy. Whenever i see things messed up no matter what time of the day as long as i still have energy i clean everything up. Specially my room since i can't sleep with a mess..

I like to do everything in the morning before I leave for the gym and do mylotting in the afternoon. No small feet yet roaming around the house and scattering toys so it's pretty easy to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness.

All of my cleaning usually takes place in the afternoon or evening. At night I don't feel like cleaning the house unless it's a small thing here or there that I really want to do, usually something that only takes me five minutes or less to do. I find cleaning at night to be strange or at least undertaking large cleaning tasks to be strange. It just doesn't sit well with me.

In the mornings I usually get online and check my email first thing. Then I look through the paper for a few minutes. If Elliott is still asleep when I get done with the paper, I will do some sweeping, or clean the bathrooms or something.
I tend to do most of my every day cleaning as I go. I clean the kitchen as I cook, and finish up the cleaning when I put away food after each meal. Elliott helps me pick up toys before he goes down for his nap, and again before he goes to bed. If we go anywhere, we pick up toys before that, too.
As far as the things that only get done once a week or less (like changing the sheets, scrubbing the toilets, shampooing the carpet, etc) I try to do them when my husband is home to hang out with Elliott, or when he's in bed, so that i know I won't have any distractions.

Hello, Beautyqueen26!
First of all, I'd like to let clear that I do not take care of the house chores. My mother is the one responsible for it. She does all the cleaning in the house, and we have a maid every Monday to help her cleaning.
There are some basic, really basic, things that I do, though. For example, making up my bed, which I do on weekends (I can't do it on weekdays, only if I woke up earlier). I help storing the utensils, like the knives, spoons, plates, glasses and etc.. I also "partially" do the dishes. By partially, I mean that I only make them dry with a dish towel.
So, I can't say that I clean the house. But my mother is always working on that. She wakes up at I don't know which time, but she keeps working on it until the evening, when she "finishes" doing it (she never finishes, just leave the rest for another day), and take her time to watch television or read, or do anything she likes.
Respectfully,
Munhozmib.
