Long Distance Relationships

Hi friends We are staying in fast paced globalized world.I agree there has been tremendous advancement in field of transportation and communication networking; but still no one can deny the reall value of being there with your loved ones. A mere telephone call, email or chatting wont help to calm down the pain of being away from your loved ones. Currently I am staying far away from my home land for my studies and I miss my Love, my sweet heart very much. We are in touch with each other via internet and tell phone calls ( I am thankfull to God for that). But still, as time passes the pain of being far away from mother land and dear ones deepens. This is not only my story, but thousand others also have simillar problem around the world. While some long distance relationship break due to various reasons ( unabailibility of time, lack of commitment, trust etc.) other gets stronger with disyance and time. Relationship do get made and get broken in normal life too. But my point here is,the LONG DISTANCE relationship is going to be major role player in future and its necessary for society to accept this and help each other. It may be any type of relationship like that of lovers, husband and wife, children and parents anything. So are we READY FOR such relationship?? what should be done for keping the relationships alive even at the distant land. This is my first discussion here and I hope i have tried to put my point in a congenial way. Looking forward for your reponses. cheers AJ

That is really nice; there are ways to stay connected to the ones that you love and if this works for you then good. You find out that relationship can with stand a lot of things even space and time. Bless you.

thanks for the encouraging words!! :) yes, the technology is surely hepling and what all matters is people commited towards their relationship. If you have been in long distance relationship... the you wud agree to me that, this distance and time and paitince either breaks you or jsu lifts you and see your love in a different divine light. where you would never dare to corrupt that relationship and would do every possible means to keep your faith alive jus like a devotee worshiping his /her god even if he/she never saw tht power but still can feel it.

I think it will depend on your personalities. There are a lot of military people who live a long distance relationship all of the time. For me, it would be too difficult. Only time will tell if you are able to handle this type of relationship.

yes I do agree with you friend, ones personality does matters. Till now what I have learnt is the key to this type of relationship is Trust, belief and honesty towards your partner. So do you guys think, such relationship is going to be more common thing in future??
