For about 2 years now I have had to use my laptop with an air card to get on-line.
There was a fire in the building of the apartments where I live. Every time I would call Brighthouse they would give me some kind of excuse about the apartment complex not fixing the wiring. Well they sent a man out here on Friday and he went into the attic of these apartments and found a live wire and he got my tvs and my computers all hooked up. I was so happy...now I don't have to depend on an air card that did not work all the time. I got my Roadrunner back and let me tell you it is so much faster. Don't you just hate it when your connection is slow?

That sounds absolutely maddening, what you had to go through. I hate it when there are problems like that. I am glad you finally got eerything working.
I don't have cable at home; no TV, no laptop, I use the wi-fi hotspot at the cae up the street, which can also screw up on occasion. I just published a discussion about that here, under "internet" on MyLot (same cetegory as this one!!). The problem was fixed, but it was maddening.
