This is a side shot of my flower bed in the front of my deck. I have a few clumps of phloxx growing very well. They will reach almost to the top of the railings as they grow. They have beautiful red flowers. I also have some seedlings from Lilies starting to growthat are too small to see here. I also have some marigolds planted here. This is always beautifuleach summer when it's in full bloom. I am planning on seperating the phloxx to cover more ground area here this fall. Do you dseperate and replant or relocate your flowers? often?HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

That looks as though it us going to be covered in blooms and be very gorgeous AGB - I love lilies - I have a vase dull of them in my living room right now! I can't really do any gardening cos of my back problems but my other half has lots of flower pots outside which they have to be told when to repot! So I guess I have some uses! xxxx

I have only cut a few for inside the house to display. I prefer letting the neighbors and passerbys enjoy them.

I do separate and replant as many of my flowers as possible and I also have my "green thumbed neighbor" who gives me flowers when she has more than she needs.. But I love to get more for my money and do when I separate my plants.. Bet your flower beds are growing good about now..

We also got a lot of plants my pour old neighbors as
well as my wifs boss. Now to get some seperated and
spread out this fall is the trick. Comes that time
of year I get lazy as far as gardening.

I love phlox! Wild phlox (the purple and white) are my favorite wild flower- I have tried digging them up from the fields and replanting them in my side bank- but they never grow- I'm not sure if it's my sig others fault or the flowers-
I have replanted many flowers--- from 1 bed to another- sometimes the flowers thrive-- sometimes they fail. I love flowers and the Spring and summer

Hi GRANDPA BOB! That looks beautiful and I am sure once everything is in full bloom, you will have a very beautiful, colorful garden. It is rare that I relocate our flower pots. I only do separate the flowers or replant them when they grow too big for the pot. But they are always in the same place basking under the sun and bathing under the rain all the time. haha..
Take Care and God Bless! Happy Mylotting!

Very pretty, Grandpa Bob..
Yes, sometimes I do, I haven't this year though because the only thing I needed to separate was my daffodils and I did that last year..
Though I am getting many new tiger lilies, maybe I will plant some extra somewhere else, just don't know what yet..

I've so many plants and flowers I need to thin out.
I've been putting it off each fall for too long now.
I've got lilies in one huge clump and need them spread out a lot more.

While our gardens are mostly just now in the seedling phase, a few of plants are going crazy. Our bougainvillea is coming back, our birds of paradise are on a roll, and my key lime tree is blooming like crazy!

Cool deal. Things here are slow as well growing
due to a cold May. In fact today it is only 44
degrees. Chilly and rainy.

Yes I do transplant even separate.. but I'd be embarassed for you to see my irises.. not even sure if a saw will separate 'em now! Though I've heard you can't much hurt 'em, so maybe I'll break out the saw one of these days.. I like to gather phlox seed and throw it out into our borders.. It's so pretty when it all blooms.. they don't last long.. maybe store bought would last longer..? but I love 'em anyway! I throw out lots of hollyhock seeds too.. didn't throw many around last year and have hardly any hollyhocks coming up this year!

I only seperate and replant my perennials when they get overcrowded which is maybe every 4yrs. or so. That's when I dig them all up, add a ton of horse or cow manure, till it under and then replant. Right now, my deco grass is overtaking a flowering bush I have planted in one of my front flower beds so just going to dig some up and replant in another part of the same bed.
