Make Your Own Bookbinding Tools

I was wondering if anyone knows of any websites that explain how to make your own bookbinding tools? I love binding books by hand, but can't afford to buy tools for bookbinding so have been making my own. The trouble is, I can't find any good sites that explain how to make the needed tools. My primary needs are: A page trimmer for trimming the edges of large books (300+ pages) after the sections have been sewn together and before the cover is put on. A book press that can press a book while it is drying. A sewing frame for sewing together the sections. Of the three, the most needed is information on making a page trimmer, since the others I can sort out on my own without much trouble. If anyone knows of any sites that tell how to build your own hydraulic page cutter that would be great too, since I do have access to a full auto shop where I could get help in building something like that.

Hello, I know I'm REALLY late on responding, it says its over a year old, BUT if you are still interested? I would check out www.bookweb.sunpig.com/equipment & www.csparks.com/Bookbinding/index.xhtml (this one has some very helpful links at the bottom. Hope those help. There aren't enough of us out there these days-anything to help!
