Reading is an excellent hobby. The more you learn, the broader your world.
However, intelligence and knowledge are two different things. Knowledge is what you know. Intelligence is knowing how to use that knowledge.
I read all I can. I love to learn. Learning is my hobby. I don't always read books, though. I read stories from MSN homepage and places like that. If I see something interesting, I'll do a search on the internet and learn all I can about that particular subject.
It's very rewarding, especially when you hear a discussion between some people and know that you can add to that discussion.

Well I know when I was a kid I use to read a lot I loved the goosebump series and the animorph series thos were my favorite books to read. Now as an adult I dont have the time to read a lot I guess tv and videogames have consumed most of my time and posting on forums lol. But I need to start reading again to help improve my vocabulary.

I guess that really depends on the types of books you are reading. I like to read books for enjoyment purposes. But I can see what you mean.

I love to read books but now i don't always get the time to read a lot, I do read loads of things on the pc!! I sometimes find it hard to find a book these days that catches me and makes me want to read it. I think rthis is because I have read so many books and sometimes books are al a bit samey. I used to read three novels a week which is a lot so perhaps now i have read too many books to find a good one to keep me reading it!! I'm now 44 so that is a huge amount of books that I have read in my lifetime already.
What sort of books do you like to read?
