I run Ubuntu. It seems most people run XP on their computers and another majority run Vista.
Vista was so bad for my computer that it actually made the motherboard overheat. I actually have to return it tomorrow. My other computer has Ubuntu and it's never had any problems.
I love Ubuntu because it's free, it makes more sense, and it comes with free software (similar to Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Photoshop, etc.)
What do you use?

vista is a very heavy file. if you like to have vista in your computer you must upgrade first your computer's specs. it requires a lot compared to xp and other microsoft windows. ive never heard of ubuntu? where did you learn that one? maybe i'll search for it in the internet.

My friend is in computer science and that's all he'll use. He's not a fan of microsoft at all. I don't blame him!

For real, you never heard of ubuntu! Ubuntu is a cool operating system, i love it because it does not drag system resources. Vista on the other is very heavy-never liked it. I use both ubuntu and windows XP.

Yeah, a lot of businesses are refusing to upgrade to Vista. GM is one of those companies!

Never heard of Ubuntu.Anyway I am using XP. Vista is very demanding,I wouldn't recommend it unless u can afford a new pc.It will make ur pc speed crawl like snail.

I run windows XP on my Hp laptop and it actually started overheating recently. I had t buy a fan board to put under my laptop to help cool it. What I'm suggesting is that it may be your computer and not the operating system that is causing the overheating. By the way, what is Ubuntu? This is the first time I've heard of it. Is it compatible with Norton Anti Virus and other ancilllary software?

There's no reason you should really have Norton on ANY computer even a windows based machine. That stuff is crap. Just because you have to pay for it doesn't mean it's worth it!

OK, so what do yu have against Norton? And what so you use for spyware, virus and Firewall protection? I've looked up Ubuntu and it sounds pretty good, especially the free part. Do you no how they make money. Free things usualy scare me and i generally stay away from them. Thanks.
