Dateline NBC tonight

Tonight Dateline NBC aired a 90min program about a young woman who was killed diving off the coast of Australia while on her honeymoon. Did any of you see this? It happens to be about the daughter of a good friend of mine Tommy Thomas. I was so impressed with his ability to hold it together throughout the broadcast. I could never have done that. The guy is SO obviously guilty of killing his new wife they they should have arrested him and locked him up forever right then and there. I feel so bad for this whole family and everything they have gone thru. Did anybody else watch this special? What do you think?

You are absolutely correct. I saw it and couldn't believe he isn't in jail. Under such circumstances people here in the US are booked and left in jail while the investigation runs its course. One comment I need to make in particular is that it was in my opinion, so guilt proving that the Newlywed husband did not feel it was his place to recover his wife's body from the water rather than leave her there to be shark bate.

So many things weren't right. Why would a RESCUE diver leave somone.. his new wife at that. Why did he sit patiently on another boat for 20 minutes while they tried to save her life before asking to go to her. He thought her insurance policy was going to pay out to him.. I am so frustrated for her family who has dedicated 5 years to getting closure!

I spoke with her father yesterday. The only part of the show that they messed up was the life insurance part. He thought he was getting the money since Tommy advised Tina to tell Gabe that the insurance was increased and he was the beneficialry. Also, the amount stated on the show was wrong. the insurnace was money was more. More was left off the show because it was only a 90 minute program and a 5 year investigation. Money and control seems to be the motive.

This is absolutely distressing and even if I did not see it I can just imagine what is going on. I hope they get to the bottom of this. If it is true that he killed his wife then he should be held accountable for such an act.
