Do you know a good home ice cream recipe?

I tried to make home icecream a few times but it always ends up with lumps of ice in it. It doesn't come up smooth. There must be some secret to it that I don't know. Please can you help me with some advice or good recipes?

Well I don't know of any recipe but yes my Dad knows.But wait he creates some really unconventional preparations including ice creams.Mostly he uses bananas mashed,milk and malted drink crystals or cocoa powder.this he tops with dry fruits and shredde dates and stores it in the freezer.I must say it tastes like heaven though it is an amateurish preparation.

Well I am actually getting an ice cream maker this Saturday! YAY!
I would recommend looking at some recipes on the following site. They have reviews from people who have tried the recipe before and even advice on how to make it even better.

I hope you get your ice cream to come out nice and smooth. You can also look for gelato recipes on the net as well. They are supposed to be extra smooth and extra rich.
