HELL YEAH!!! see my avatar? that's Steve Harris, one of the best bass players the world has ever seen (i also play bass) i've seen Iron Maiden 5 times and hope to see them next time they come around. i also met them backstage during their "World Piece" tour about 25 years ago......damn we're getting old.....BUT STILL ROCKING!!! i guess my favorite album would have to be "Number Of The Beast" but my favorite song is "Revelations" which is on the "Piece Of Mind" album.
ROCK ON!!! polly_p42

So you are a bass player? I play guitar :) I guess the musicians always like the good music :)
I listen to jazz music too, but the old metal is my true love :)
What is your name by the way? And how old are you, you lucky man? (You've seen Maiden 5 times, damn you're lucky)

I love Iron Maiden but as far as bass is concerned, I don't like Steve Harris' tone on fear of the dark. I prefer the really deep and powerful bass tone he had in earlier albums. He probably shifted to a jazz bass or something similar that's why his bass on that album had more twang and less deep bass. But that's just me. I guess I just got used to listening to his powerful bass tone from earlier albums.

No dear he is the best you got to be positive while hearing him. He is the best bassist of all time. And in my point of view iron maiden is all about him.

I've been listening to Iron Maiden since the mid 90s, and I still like them. I'm not truly in touch with their latest stuff though.

Oh I think their latest songs are not so good... The times are different, the people are different... I guess the music is too...

I was like 15 or 16 when I first heard Number of the Beast when it came out on the radio. I was hooked immediately. Originally my favourite song was Hallowed be Thy Name. Over the years I came to like Deja Vu more.
I love the last couple of albums after Bruce Dickinson returned and also love his solo albums.

Iron Maiden was probably my favorite band to come out from England during that New Wave of British Heavy Metal. They just stuck out as an amazing band, the guitar harmonies are the one thing I'll always remember about Maiden. As for a favorite album I'd probably say either Powerslave or Number of the Beast. Bruce seems to play a major role to me, when they had Paul Dianno and their other singer (Bruce Bailey?) or something like that I really didn't like it as much than with Bruce Dickenson.
