how do people get 50 and higher responses

I try to sit down and think of topics that others can relate too. And some discussions that I think will get good responses sometimes only end up getting 3 - 5 responses where I see other people getting some 50 plus responses to their discussions. Is there something that I am doing wrong to not be attracting people to my discussions?

I know what you mean. I have seen a lot of discussions here that have many responses. Just few minutes back, I saw one topic that has 200 plus responses and another with 300 plus responses. These are actually old discussions. Well, it seems that the total number of responses have been accumulated through time. I also saw others that were just started and already have more than 30 responses within just an hour. Perhaps, the topic is so interesting. I have started several discussions that have very few responses but I am not really bothered by it. I do think that if you have many friends in your list who are actively participating in discussions here, it would really help.

It doesn't bother me either I was just wondering about it to be honest. I guess after some time being on here people just get to recognize you and will answer to a persons topic more and more. thanks for taking the time to respond.

check your topics ,it might not stimulate your readers enough!put obama out there and see what happens!

this is something i too had been thinking about for a long time how do people really get these 50 plus response when The discussions i create merely gets 1- 15 response at the most. i have tried different topics but till date I have received 17 response at the most.
