Do you recognize your friends on mylot by their names or avatars?

I just came across this question when I am reading discussions the other day. I noticed that some of my friends changed their avatars. It took me some time to remember who they are. Generally I remember my friends on mylot by their avatars. Because some of my friends' names are difficult for me to remember. A visual name-the avatars are much better.
So how about you? Do you recognize your mylot friends by their names or by their avatars? Please share you opinions. Thank you in advance.

Most of the time I recoganize them by there avatars unless they have been a friend for a long time and are on mylot on a daily basis. Then I can recoganize them by there names. I recenty changed my avatar but it really is not much diffrent from my other one. I use my pictures from my IMVU chat avatar so it really dosnt change much unless I make a drastic change. mwahahahahahah

I remember some of my friends' name if their users' names are their real names so that they give some meaning to me and thus I can remember them by names. I seldom change my avatar because I don't know what to change and I quite like the current one. By the way, what's IMVU?

I used to know them by their avatars. But lately
there's been many that have changed. So No I pay
attention to members names and not the avatar as much.
I get confused either way still though.

I am not that familiar with that e-mail function. Generally I will just come to mylot directly to view the discussion my friends started. So I am quite familiar with my friends' avatar.

To me, it all depends. If someones name make sense to me like yours, I can remember that. But in most of the time I remember their avatars.

I recognize people by their avatars and their style of posting, like whether they sign their name at the bottom, or start the post with a greeting or something. I'm not good with remembering users' names, or peoples names in real life for that matter. xD

Yes you are right. Our friends' posting style can be a feature of them. I do remember some of them by this.

i would say by their avatar. i have started recognising my friends here. by name no i would find that a bit difficult. as most of them do not use their real names it is difficult.

That's true. A lot of my friends do not use their real name. Thus I prefer to remember them by avatar. But I can still remember some names.

Lol, I am probably one of the friends you are talking about. I change my avatar regularly, I get bored with it. So sorry if I confused you. Hope you remember who I am, as in my last avatar I had blonde hair now this one I have brown hair.
I recognise mylot friends usually by both their names and avatar. I guess maybe I might be confused if a friend changed their avatar that I don't regularly talk to as I might not remember their name, lol. 1 person likes this

Basically I can remember your name. Thus changing the avatar is not that confusing. But when my friends' names are not that easy for me to remember, it could make me feel confused then.
