He is only 12 and yet he's going to be charged for drunken driving! Sheriff Jimmy Dorney said the 12-year-old boy and his 10-year-old friend drove off in the truck May 4 to find a girl they met at a rodeo. The boys made it about 10 miles before the 12-year-old lost control of the truck. Dorney said the truck hit and jumped over a guardrail, sending it careening 50 feet down a steep hill into a forest. Clark James, 46, who lives down the road from the crash site, said he answered the boys' banging at his front door with shotgun in hand about 2:30 a.m. When something like this happened, who is to blame? What do you think? Read more: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080519/ap_on_fe_st/odd_preteen_drunken_driving;_ylt=Aipo95bIDtX7R3R5U5yprtftiBIF

Who is to blame it is clear and simple the parents I have a 20 year old that still lives at home and I know where she is every night, a 14,11,10 year old boys and every night they are at home and if they got out me and my husband would know it and they know what would happen to them we simply don't play that,, the parents should know what and where their kids are....

We are fast to blame the parents but sometimes the parents can't be blamed as children will experiment no matter what the parents tell them. In a nearby middle school, a boy took a bottle of vodka to school and some of the kids got drunk. So you see even at school they can get in trouble. The boy that took the vodka to school got expelled and the others were suspended for a week.

Well where were his parents when he got drunk? I mean that is really irresponsible and what was he thinking? He's only 12 and he wants to act like he's a grownup already. I'm 19 and I still have to tell my mother when and where I am going out because I still live under her roof. His parents should be paying more attention to what he is doing.
