I'll use shampoo and conditioner separately and I'll use them alternately and skip a day not using any of them or not applying anything on my hair......say for this day I used shampoo, the following day I'll use conditioner and the next day I won't use anything and so on and so forth... I'll do this so that the natural oil of my hair will come out naturally...well, it's effective...I have a long straight black hair and it's natural... :)

I have to use separate shampoo and conditioner, too.
Mostly cause I don't condition my hair everyday.
It would be too puffy if I did.
So I shampoo almost daily but condition just
twice a week when my hair needs it.
My daughter has to condition her hair daily
or it gets frizzy and tangles badly.

Hi Palmerhusky, Same as you, i like to use my shampoo and conditioner separately. Before, i like to try new product including 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner. But my hair turn dull, dry and fall a lot! Some salon expert i have visit said, conditioner is not right to use in scalp because its hot. Conditioner Good for hair but not at the root. So from there i decided to choose my shampoo more natural and conditioning my hair only at the edge, so it will not broke.

I like to use separate shampoo and conditioner. You know what though? My conditioner has been MISSING for the last 2 days! I can't imagine what happened to it! My daughters deny taking it-they have separate bathroom. Maybe I threw it out when I was cleaning the br. Now my hair has been a big giant frizz bomb! Sorry-kinda went off subject a little there, I saw the discussion and thats what I thought of-lol

all in ones just don't seem to do a good job with my hair. I need a conditioner to help with knots and to make smoother . It is needed with long hair.

I use a 2 in 1 body/shampoo thingy, from old spice. I prefer this because I'm lazy, and it smells good. ^_^ I used to use the seperate ones, but I just kinda drifted away from it when they started making that all-in-one thing...now, I'm kinda partial to it. ^_^ Call me weird, go on...:P

i've tried both ways to clean my hair and make it smooth. all-in-one is a wise choice to save up a little money when buying but I prefer using shampoo separate from conditioner because my hair is more smooth when it gets dry. Plus the smell is better all day long..

hi I dont like the allinone stuff as it never has enough
conditioner in it for my dry hair . I use herbal essence
shampoo and conditioner every other day. and my hair
is so shiny and feels so great I just love it.

my wife uses a separate one. i use a all in one. i think women are more on using those kinds of shampoo. my wife said sometimes she uses the shampoo only and sometimes uses the conditioner only. i dont understand why but thats what she said. har har har. i use the all in one to save me time and i dont have long hair so it doesnt matter to me.

I like shampoo and conditionar seperately. Use shampoo to wash my hair, and then use conditionar to moisture my hair. If it's all in one, I'm not sure whether my hair has cleanly washed or not, and whether my hair has absorbed enough moisture. Therefore, I like them seperately.

In my experience, the 2-in-1 shampoo does not condition as well as using a separate conditioner. I will sometimes buy it to use if I am in a hurry though, because it IS better than no conditioner at all. For best results, it is better to use separate products.
