How do you feel about links?

I have been putting more links to websites in my posts lately. I have also noticed that I have had less replies than before. Is it because of the links? How do you feel about them? Do you like or dislike clicking on links to an article posted on MyLot? Would you rather read a summary of an article than visit the link yourself? Am I just having a bad day?

I like links. But I'm probably a contrarian indicator of what is popular at myLot.

Thanks for your reply. I think links help to expand the scope of MyLot and enhance the quality of the discussions.

Well links what can i say first if you put a lot of links it means that you are interested only in refferals and not in posting or people. And people lose their opinion for you and think about you as a spamer :)

You misunderstand. I don't post links promoting any type of program, but for educational purposes about news items and such. I hope people will be interested enough in the news topics to visit the links, but I realize not everyone will. I'd never try to spam here at MyLot to try and drum up referrals for a program.

I think this is a misunderstood issue. Lately myLot is deleting referral links, sometime its just the response and sometimes the whole discussion. May be they are anxious to respond fearing that it will be deleted anyway. I have no problems with links though a summary would really help.

I don't use any links in my posts for the purpose of getting referrals. The links I post are to lead people to news items for the purpose of discussions. I hope MyLot doesn't take offence with those types of links.
