My cat has the strangest eating habits! How does your cat compare?

My cat, Big Man has the funniest eating habits. He won't eat unless I stand behind him and guard his back. He doesn't want the other cats to sneak up on him. Then again, he did demanded the same thing when he was an only kitten. Maybe his quirky eating habits date back to the days when he lived outdoors as a stray kitten.
He puts a whole new spin on picky eater cats. Funny considering that he has no problem cleaning human food off the floor under the dinner table. Most times he gets to the food before I have a chance to get up and stop him.

My cat Ozzy (16 years old) has become a little weird in the last couple of years. Sometimes when he eats he eats with his paw as if it was a spoon. But the weirdest is when he drinks. Either he drinks with his paw (like when he's eating) or he moves the water bowl until it splashes on the floor and then licks it up. Now we keep a weight against the water bowl. Who knows why animals act the way they do.
P.S. I also have a dog who won't step beyond 3 feet into the kitchen and not at all into the bathroom. Even if there is a steak on the floor (literally, I've tested her). Don't know why. Just plain weird.
