How would you deal with your kids' fighting?

We can not deny the fact that our kids fight at home. I mean siblings will fight sometimes. Most often the younger kid will cry and calling mom, as if calling for help. Well the tendency of most mothers is to immediately scold the older one without asking who is at fault. This is the reason most younger kids are spoiled. Would you believe on this? I do, because I've seen it. How would you deal with you kids' fighting? Well, parents have different styles and it is interesting to learn from others too.
