Shopping bags

When shopping what bags do you use. The one offered by shopping malls, your green bag or do you bring your own bags. Most are plastic bags for shopping on malls and stores. It causes too much effect on our environment as plastic are not biodegredable. When shopping we make use of the shoppers plastic and in return we use the platics for putting on our garbage at home. Also to keep on some items at home. There are stores offering green bags for shoppers and it is good. However when we go shopping on our wet market we have out own basket to put in the items we bought. How about you.

Before, malls provided free plastic bags in my hometown, and I always use them for garbage.
But now, malls won't provide free plastic bags any more, you need to pay for them. So I am tryig to bring the bags by myself when I go to the malls.

Maybe its one way to reduce usage of plastic bags. At least we will be obliged to use our own bags and the best is to use the eco-bags or the cloth bags which we can use and use. Thanks for the response.

I try to use the canvas bags that I carry in the car when I go shopping. I know that the plastic bags are bad for the environment and I hate the idea of so much waste going into the landfills.
The plastic bags these days are recycable and so I don't feel too bad if I have to get them when I have left my bags or forgotten to take them in.
I think that the stores should offer a discount on your purchase if you use your own bag as it would encourage more people to do that.

Yes, they should do that. But there are some stores here that offers eco-bag for shoppers with minimum purchases. But I noticed also here in our place all garbage of whatever kind is being recycled. Thanks for the response.

There is one hypermarket in my place uses those biodegradable plastic bags for customers to put their shopping items. So I prefer to do my shopping there most of the time, as I don’t have to take the trouble to bring my own bag. I keep those normal plastic bags for putting daily household garbage so I don’t need to spend extra money for the garbage bags.

Very practical indeed. We really must help our dear earth on how we can save it. Yes those plastic bags can be used in putting some things and yes for putting in the garbage. Thanks for the response.

I've started collecting the green bags the stores are offering now. I also have a few canvas bags I use. My main problem is that I constantly forget to bring these bags with me. I most likely need to get a few more and just keep them in the car with me.
I do use the plastic bags for garbage. It takes the place of my buying bags for this so I suppose it is a kind of recycling.
