A nice civilised way to get referrals for Mylot

For a few months I have been a member of a program called Triple Your List.
What happens is when you join your email details are circulated to all the members of the list who may contact you with their offers.
In return a couple of times a week they email you three new leads complete with name, email, and IP address.
As these leads are double opt in there is no prospect of being accused of spam, they have agreed to receive messages.
I thought I would be flooded with spam from this sort of thing but frankly the response from that side has been low, and anyway, I know where the 'delete' button is!
The best part is that these people are all like-minded and looking for opportunities.
I have used it successfully to recruit for the social site that pays (details on my profile) by sending personailed messages rather than a mass mailing.
It occurred to me that the same approach might well be used for MyLot.

yes, it's free to join. As I said in the post, you agree to get mail by circulating your address to the members. Use a free mail or gmail or something if you're that concerned but the level of messages I have had has been low.
You will then get about 6 leads every week who you can contact with your offers.
They are double optin so you can't be accused of spam.

That sounds like a fantastic idea as I only have three referrals and none are active and I spend my time here for the discussions and friends but extra through referrals would be good right now, had MoT and work on car this month as well as tax due at the end of so could do with a bit extra. Ellie :D
