About the movie gladiator

did anyone can accept the climax of the movie gladiator?
i can't! Because i never accept a good person will meet a sad end in their life!

Really, I agree with you. Me too dont like tragic end of the best hero of any movie. But this movie have natural climax.

In my opinion, there could never be a better the ending for the movie "Gladiator". Even though Maximus, strip from his social and military title and become a slave he defied the odds and kill Emperor Comulus. Ironically in the Gladiator arena in which the Emperor celebrates his accention in power. At the same time Maximus in his dying moments did what his true Emperor Marcus Aurelius dying wish, that Republic Rome be ruled again by the senate and not by a single man.
