Same with the rest, my cellphone goes into sleep mode when I go to sleep too. I actually use it as an alarm, so it has to be turned on. But it is really bothersome when someone sends a message or when someone calls in the middle of the night.

No never i never turned off my cell at night i just put it on silent mode. Thats it . Its a better thing you can do. So in the morning you can see you tried to reach you and if required you can call them.

I never shut my phone off because it takes so long for it to start up again.

I also usually keep my cell on for 24X7. But just yesterday night, while I were sleeping some irritant rang it just twice and hung up. After that I switched it off the whole night. And will do so from now on, instead of losing sleep.

Yup, I do.
I do it because I want to extend the life span of my phone battery.
Since I don't get calls at home (holy baby, I wouldn't want to too! ), why waste the power?
And so, I switch off the phone at night and in fact during the day, I would leave the phone in power saving mode which is really as good (almost) and switching it off too.
Cheers!

The only time I switch off my cell phone is when I am driving. I do not wish to be talking on the phone while driving.

My phone only goes of if I'm at the doctors, at hospital or something like that, apart from that it is always on even at night! I love my phone and would be so lost without it!

No, I do not turn my phone off at night - but then I don't get a lot of calls, so if it rang at night, it would probably be a family emergency and would need my attention.

I try to turn mine off at night, if I remember. I try to save my battery life, but most the time I forget, and its on all night. If I don't want anyone calling me at night, I will turn it off, if its been a hard long day or something like that.

last time i used to switch off my phone after 10pm.it is because i did not want any calls or messages which disturbs me when i am sleeping.besides my father do not like people to call at night time.after i started my university i just leave my phone to be open 24 hours per day.because sometimes i sleep in the morning and i need to use it.i also set my alarm clock in my phone.so if i did not switch it on i would not be able to wake up for my classes.

i try to remember to turn it off at night because apparently with mine if i don then i start losing signal and the phone doesn't work as well as it should. i had that problem once and i had no signal in an area where i normally had full bars. i half panicked because i thought that my phone company had turned off my service. but i knew i had paid that month so that wasn't possible and thats what they told me when they called
