ok. this is my first time on mylot. so bear with me, if you please.
i am a david cook fan. that being said, i think that david archuleta's performance for the finals was better. he had that "winning piece" vibe all throughout the show. as expected, his singing was fantastic. however, i feel that his songs/performances are good for contests and not for recording. david cook, on the other hand, sang songs that you can probably imagine being played on the radio... and hitting the charts too, if i might add.
either way, i'm cool.

I was going to be cool either way too. I completely understand what you are saying. Archeletta has an amazing voice but I am not sure how it is going to translate onto a cd of songs that millions will want to go out and buy. David Cook on the other hand, I can not wait until his cd comes out. I'm happy he won.

I am also a David Cook fan. But after watching their final performances, I know David Archuleta will surely win. He sang so good. Anyway, just now David Cook emerged as the winner. Go David Cook!

Because American Idol is a singing competition and it is a contest, then I must admit that David Archuleta is much much better than Cook. It's not in Final but the whole season. He is the best...

Hey!So excited to see you here! =) Anyway, I've been rooting for David Archuleta since I saw him audition. I think David Cook is a great vocalist and he's hot! But I think Archuleta would win. I like them both though so even if my prediction is wrong I would be totally fine with it. ~
