to breastfeed or not

I'm a new mom and have always been aware about the advantages of breastfeeding. but because I have to work to support my baby's needs, I have to stop and feed her formula. There were times that I would feel guilty about this but i know that it has to be this way because of work. For the working moms, have you ever felt like you were not giving your baby the best nourishment that she can get?

Once you have kids you will always find something to feel guilty about. You do the best you can - and pretty soon you find something else to feel guilty about. My current mommy-guilt-trip is that I don't read to my kids as much as I think I should be, a couple weeks ago it was my 3 year old not knowing her colors. Formula may not be the best food for baby, but it's better than no food, and mom isn't going to keep making milk for long if she cant afford to eat.

I totally agree. I think it's something to do with being a first time mom. I felt guilty when my baby was crying - maybe I didn't feed her enough or cared for her enough, when she was coughing - maybe the room was too cold for her. But now, I'm getting the hang of things. Maybe it's just the way things are and I have to accept everything just like that

Dear friend,
I am a mother of 3 children, well 2 grown and 1 age 14.
I was always told as long as they got a good head start they would be fine.
What you will notice right away with the formula and that the baby will gain a lot of wait faster. Don't be alarmed, that is normal.
Good luck
Cheryl
