Do you think it's possible for me to learn about computers (eg. web graphic design) even if I don't have any background? I'm an education graduate and I was not really into computers before (though I can definitely say I'm literate hehe). Anyways, I'm very much interested with it now. I just need some motivation because my parents think I should just focus on my profession. :(

Hey, everyone had to start somewhere! Three years ago, I knew nothing about computers. Now I'm programming and performing security analysis for webmasters, just because I decided to sit down and teach myself. It doesn't matter if your starting a bit later than most tech-savvy geeks out there. If you want it, you can get it.

Thanks!
What's the best way to learn about computers? I looked for computer schools that offer short courses but I constantly hear people complaining about them being insufficient (not to mention quite expensive!) How did you manage to learn on your own? Thanks! ^^

Oh, and one more thing:
6. Don't get discouraged when you don't think you're progressing as quickly as you'd hoped or when you feel really stupid. Some of the experiences I learned the most from were the ones that made me feel the most stupid, and PC knowledge doesn't grow in leaps and bounds like it sounds in my summary. It's a gradual process, but you may only realize your progress when you hit certain milestones, so don't get discouraged when you feel your knowledge is stagnant and not really progressing at all. You're still learning, whether you realize it at the moment or not.

Computers need a certain learning curve. However due to their nature it is not necessary for you to be professionally educated in them.
I recommend you just start to tinker with them after many failures you will get the hang of things, while picking up many other skills and know how along the way.
I really cant tell you about graphic design as I'm not really into it, but as far as websites go, you should just start doing it and do allot of research. Visit forums, read books etc.
feel free to drop me a private message should u require any assistance.

Anybody can learn. :) It's not that hard. It may be a handful but it's fun. If you really like to learn, then you can. :) You can still concentrate on your profession. Take computers as a hobby. :) We know you can manage your time well.
