Which one's worse? Popups? Or, the people who create pop ups?

Have you ever had a window that just wouldn't close on Internet Explorer?
The other day I clicked on some links and then decided I didn't like the website. So, I tried to close the links and they wouldn't close. I think they were trying to pop up an exit pop. I hate those things, don't you?
Anyway, my pop up blocker was doing a mighty battle with the evil pop up . It lost! I never saw the pop up, but my entire browser froze and I had to reboot. Lucky I didn't get any spyware from those creeps.
Popups are the worst. And, even worse are the people that annoy me with them. Don't they know I'd never purchase their product after they've caused me so much trouble? Has that ever happened to you?

I loathe the websites that do that. There have been a few that I have been on that closing one window opens a pop-up and closing that one opens another pop-up. It seems to be a never ending cycle. I have had it freeze up my computer before. Once my son was on the computer and it did it to him so bad that I had to literally unplug the computer to get it to shut down. Holding down the power button did nothing. I told him whatever game website he was on when it happened to never go there again.

Been there! Had that done to me. There's actually an evil code on the internet that allows unscrupulous webmasters to use the unending pop up. It should be made illegal.
One such evil pop up killed my beloved computer last year. That thing was a work horse. She shall be sorely missed. Thanks for commiserating with me over evil popups and the evil people that generate them.

Hi beautyqueen26. I did face the troubl when the windows popups kept coming like crazy. But one of my lecturer told me if we want to crush those popups from being that mad we must use alt+f4 to stop them. to be very honest I never bough any software products online cuz i know they will bring more popups to make us buy those. well, for your main question..I think the worst one is the people who make the windows popups. Without them popups will never get born in computer and they are not installed like magic: there's someone who need to install those programs.

Hi There,
I am with you. These sites that have those pop ups are more than annoying. I have been in the middle of working a number of times and have ended up having my browser freeze and then lost the work. It must be lucrative for them to do this as they seem to be so prevalent. Even the popup blockers don't work so well a lot of the time.
cheers,

Or people who try to judge this?
That's life.
Irritating pop-ups are still much better than irritating people living around. Yet, they're still even better than irritating criminal around.
It's a lucky thing it's just the pop-ups that annoy us, not criminals, not murderers. Things could have been much worse.
No significant harm is done by pop-ups.

yes i hate them too i hate both the popups and the people who create them too ... the other day i was reading a marketing guide on how to make money from the internet and they suggested to buy a software to make automatic popups and i went crazy suddenly .. its so unethical.

I hate pop-ups, the only thing I hate worse is pop-unders...those ones that show up as soon as you try and close a link. If I visit a website and they have either one of those on a consistant basis, I will quit going there...even if I DO enjoy their site. This has to be one of the most annoying marketing ploys they ever came up with. If anything, I think it turns more people off than makes them check out their product, or whatever. Grrrrrrr...I've had my computer freeze on account of them too sometimes. I don't know whether the pop-ups or the people who create them are worse. I just know that anybody who puts them on their site and thinks it's helping their traffic isn't thinking about the negativity it brings to their site.

Pop ups are the biggest pain in the butt. I have an excellent pop up blocker on mine and so I am very rarely bothered by them, but just occasionally I get one that is bad and so my computer just instantly closes the internet down and restarts itself.
Also the pop ups I hate are the ones that you try and close them down and it says that someone wants to talk to you before you go, and trying to get off it is an absolute nightmare!!
