I would probably take the classes if they weren't too expensive. I say that because I have two left feet and if you add a pole into the mix things might get ugly. LOL I'd hate to spend a lot of money to look even more awkward than I do already. I'd want to take the class though on the off chance that it would make me look graceful and the exercise is always welcome.

no only because I was a stripper and don't need classes LOL but I'd be more than willing to teach them

They are and I'm not. I only like to slow dance, line dance, or square dance.

Pole dancing is dancing around a pole, up and down the pole. It's sexy. You've probably seen some of this dancing on the news or a special that shows a strip joint. I think it's amazing. I'd do it if there was a geriatric class....lol Thanks for responding.

I doubt that you are too old to take a pole dancing class. I am a pole dancing instructor at Miss Pole in Madison, WI. I have had students from 18-60+ in my classes. You should give it a try.

Nope. Actually, I probably wouldn't take any kind of dancing lessons even though dancing is said to be good to help improve memory for us golden oldies. Maybe the dance studio could offer pole dancing classes for seniors with the benefits of improving memory and safety. When students get off balance or get winded they'd have the pole to hang onto.

I had heard about pole fitness about 8 years ago, but was disappointed there was no where in my area that taught classes. I love unusual forms of exercise. If I had to go to a gym to get exercise I would weigh about 300 pounds. Anyway, in August 2008 Miss Pole opened in Madison and I signed up right away. I was hooked instantly and couldn't wait to get to the more advanced classes. After 6 months of classes and practicing at home on my own, I was asked to join the teaching staff. I am so much more toned and stronger than when I began pole dancing.
