Even from my childhood, I have a special liking for this sweet item called 'Rasgoolaa'. Its literary meaning is the sphere of tasty juice! In fact its main ingradient for preparation is cheese and sugar syrup. Usually in resturants it is preared at late night hours, after the confectioners get free from other work. Since its preparation as well as storing is delicate, more care is taken for this protin-rich and 'The King' of sweet items.
I have heard, it was originated from Kolkata during the British period. But its place in present market sweet items is no doubt no. 1 without any equivalent! Have you tated 'Rasgoolaa'? Please share your thoughts!

Yes, Rasgoola is one of the most liking sweet item for me. Your naming it as king of sweet items is really accurate. I taste and purchase it for our family members very often. My locality Bhubaneswar is near the famous rasgoola centre called 'Pahala', where different varieties and qualities of rasgoola is marketed daily. If you have a visit to this place, don't forget to purchase a kg of fresh rasgoola for your near and dear ones. Thanks for this tasty discussion.
