To quit the job, No! To get rid of the boss.

I have read recently that most people quit the job because of their bosses. Even if they do like the job, but the boss makes the situation more complicated. Does anybody have the same experience?

That is why I quit my last job. I could not stand my supervisor! She made the place miserable, and we could not go to her with a problem. All she would do is interrupt and say, "Well, I don't know...I haven't heard of anything being wrong with it..." or "You need to send me an email so I can look into it..." Emails were obviously never followed up on because the problems never went away! This isn't the reason I have quit all my jobs though...just this last one...

I had a job where i didnt get along with my boss. I didnt agree with how she did things (especially the shorting employees on pay) I quit because of a lot of reasons from there. I had a boss in high school that to begin with she scared the heck out of me but once i was at the place for a while she wasnt so scary. My current boss i really like

haha i have heard so much about that, in our organizationmany have left, good ones, performers and very good people leaving because they can no longer stand their team leaders or supervisors. its just sad that management has not done anything about it. they have all the chance to review the process and do something about losing good people and will have bigger loss at training new people.

I do agree with you. The problem is that the company as mine trying to economise on everything and as a result good people leaving, due to unfair blames or money matters too. To train a new person it is very useful so he could be skilled to work in the company but also it is time and money and profit for the company. To find a new person is hard and if from that person depends other departments so it is very hard to cooperate before it will get better. The management really have to do something about it and not only in the words. Some actions... The superior of my boss called me yesterday to talk about my work and mistakes, and mentioned that we are the one team who is working together. I laughed and he asked "are you not agree with that?" I said no, as everybody is working separately and caring only about their department. But he said "I think that you are wrong and we are working together." I replied that If you think that it is like this then it is like this. And he was very happy that "agreed"... Strange thinking.

yes I do. I am now in this situation. My boss make my job harder because of his attittude. I want to find another job, I really do, but it's hard to find like what I have now. The only thing which make me feel bad is the way moy boss deals with me. He is driving me crazy with his moodswing. He is nuts!!!!he is kind sometimes though. Thanks for replying.

Sorry for late reply at first. I am planning to change my job too, and this is because of the boss as well. He is pretending that he is always right and he told me once. "Boss is always right. If you thing in another way, see the first point - Boss is always right!" He is another nation also, and by his way of working is is working as their people working - pretending that they are doing something, and just give other people tasks and just asking explanations and does not want to be responsible for anything. The boss must not be like this. This is wrong. And I am not this type of person who just do what he asked to do. I suppose to have my word too, and it has been before like this, but now. No. Only by the way as my boss told, or some other bosses, despite the losses and no profit to the company as I suggested. This is why I want to change my job...

For me, if you love and like your JOB but your boss DONT like you, DONT QUIT.Go ahead and do all your best, obey what your boss is telling you as long as it is within the set standards, if not then inform him/her. If it will then be approved, note that the certain decision or whatever has been approved or let go by your boss, yet you have told it is wrong in the first place. Well there should have no BOSS within the organization, LEADER is the correct term I guess. A leader helps staff and leads by example to have a good relationships and results while BOSS always dictates what to do. If your boss dont like you, I guess it is the good challenge for you, yes it is difficult to work this kind of environment but I would still suggest not to quit. Seeking job this day is very difficult and most of the company accept thru agencies. So if you really love your job and your problem is only your BOSS dont quit, I'll tell you there were other see your good performance and it will lead you to accelarate in a certain time. Remember and think, even at your BOSS level, this kind of environment is also there.
