Do the judges comments influence how you vote on American Idol??

I was thinking about the comments made on American Idol last night, especially by Simon. He stated on the show that David A. took the competition in all three "rounds". However, on the Ellen show he stated that he thought David Cooke would make the better Pop Idol, because of David A's youth and inexperience. I did think that David A gave a better performance, but David Cooke is a more interesting performer. Did you want to vote for David Cook, but because the judges thought David A. gave a better performance, did you change your vote?

I'm not too into American Idol, but my family is so i do watch it quite often.
For me, what the judges say have no influence on the votes. My family always votes for who they like better [they are actually arguing as i type this about who is winning tonight lol]
If the judges do influence, its like this: When they say that the person you want to win did a bad performance, you may sure to vote (and vote and vote and vote) so that they saty on the show.
I think that David Archuleta has better vocals and skill, but David cook has the better performances and would make a better recording artist. It also depends on the type of music your into. If you're into soft ballads, then the obvious choice is David, and if hes your favorite, no matter what the judges say will stop you from voting.
i have a more rock-ish edge so WOO GO COOK! xD
