I know, What the Heck right? I said the exact same thing when I came home and saw the poor lifeless creature.
My daughters aunt won a fish at our state fair and the kids wanted the fair fish to have a few friends. So, I went out and bought 3 more.
Well, as usual the fair fish ended up dying from something that caused his body to gradually turn black. And the other followed suit (they died of ick or something). Well, the 4th lasted all of 3 good hours after the last fish died.
We left as we normally do to get the kids off to school and hubby off to work and when I returned home to check on the fish instead of him swimming around he was layed out on the floor. I'm still trying understand what happened. I don't know how long before I get anymore fish but everytime I've told this story people laugh.

This happens all the time. I've heard this story at least 10 times lol.
I don't blame them for doing it, though. I wouldn't want to live in a little bowl or tank either
