Who do you believe if you hear two different stories from two people? Ok heres a little background someone I know is involved with a person who says they have this huge inheritance from thier grandmother. She has told him that her father is in control of the money till she turns 35 and is married. She wants him to sign a paper stating that he intends to marry her but won't let him read the paper, so she can get her full inheritance. He has not signed and won't he has never seen any of this supposed money or papers about the money. They live together and he is in dent up to his eyeballs cause they bought a hummer and an expidition on the assumption that this money would cover them. They have moved atleast 5 times in the last year driving him more in debt. She calls us crying how he doesn't love her enough to marry her even though she is offering him the world and buying him this that and everything else. Neither of their stories have any likeness to each other. His is that he doesn't think there is any money and she is trying to get his retirement from 20 years served with his company. Her story is she is trying to get her inheritance so they can live happily ever after. So what do you think?

There is no money... ...many magic tricks include you not seeing something... ...If she was serious or real about the money, he would have read some documents already, especially since she wants to get married so bad.

Is there any place to get a free background check on someone? This is a relative who is involved with this person and we can't afford to pay a lot to find out maybe nothing at all.

I do believe that sort of information is protected. (by lawer/client confidetiality) But, there may be a way to fool her into the truth... ...Hmmm... ...One thing that springs to mind is; ask her father about said documents since he has 'power of attorney'. I do not agree with the facts given in this matter. Since the moneies were willed by the grandmother, it seems that the father could or would not have such power, which ever lawer she filed her will with would have that power. (to make sure the stipulations were fulfilled legally) But, I am no expert in legal matters, only magic, ha ha. I think she's a gold-digger!!

My first thought? There is money. My immediate second thought? It is a pre-nup he would be signing. Haha If it is an inheritance - I still think he is doing right. Why would anyone marry for the money? I think he is being smart on that part - - -however, sticking with someone who is only bringing you debt - well - that is kinda stupid, especially if you dont intent to finally marry them.

We are getting conflicting stories but both of them have more holes than swiss cheese. Things don't add up in either of their stories. So who knows!

She is going to have to take this up with him. They have to have trust and honesty. They apparently don't have either and I don't think they should be married. The sad thing is that he is already getting in over his head. If she really did get the inheritance, it looks like it would not be so much of a secret. I can see why you would wonder.
