Killing the black cats

You know, there are some people or any other nation that has this culture. If they see a black cat while they are walking in the street, or just have a ride in a vehicle, or like having a conversation with one of your fellows, they have this belief that there's someone you loved will die at that moment. Filipinos have this kind of belief. Actually, this belief was very old. But through this modern world, there are still many people believed with this one. So other people catch and kill this poor little black cats so that their loved ones died. I say this because it happened to me for the second time around. These people killed my innocent black cats because of this belief... Very sad. I don't know why these people do that... Anyway, is there anyone who could share their experiences about this one?
