I've decided it's time to step up the recruiting effort for myLot and made a simple splash page this morning.
I'd like to get your opinion on it.

So, is it too chintzy? Too much info? Too little info?
Should I take my scary mug out of the picture?
Do you have a splash page? (Don't post your link here unless it's specifically for myLot!)
I'm a member of loads of traffic exchanges but really don't like them. How else can I promote this? Buy ads in my PTCs? Which of yours garnered the most interest?

You should leave your picture there because you have a nice big friendly grin!
You focus on the fun element of myLot, which is good. If anyone expects to make $$$ straight away they will be disappointed. I like the fact you offer advice and guidance to new members by private message.
I hope you can get some good active members to join from your splash page.

Awww, thanks for the kind words. It's hard to pick what key points to highlight without writing a book, and still make it easy on the eyes to read.
(I'm sure I'm not telling YOU anything, though).
And I do think having your regular old picture makes it seem more friendly, like you're just 'one of the guys', KWIM?

Looks good to me. You might mention that it is not a chat room as some people are skiddish about keeping up with running conversations. Especially the older ones and inexperienced typists.
Otherwise I think it looks great.

ok marie - great looking page - but i gotta admit that i have no idea what a splash page is - how do you do it, where do you start, where would you use it?

I think that's a great introduction and invitation to join you at MyLot. Including your earnings proof is a good touch. It should convince people. (I know it would me.) I hope it works for you. And that you'll tell us if it does. :-)
