I was wondering when I read on the magazine where it says when each person reduce usage of computers for 2 hours everyday, is amount of carbon dioxide absorbed by 1 million trees. If computers release CO 2 ,what about libraries and internet cafe's whom let the computer on the whole day? Does laptops release the gas too? Does that mean when we use computer the gas is being released into our houses?

He is right. Computer do not give off Carbon dioxide. It is the power that you use when you are using your computer. One way to cut down on the amount of power that your computer uses is to turn off your screen when you are not using it. Yes, I know the screen savers are cool, but to run a computer screen 24 hours a day for a month is about $10.00. That is the oler crt and not the flat screen. The best one you can get is LED as they are cheaper to run. Screen savers was to help with burn in, the biggest problems that crts had.

I think they mean it will help reduce the CO2 given out when producing the energy to run them, like at the actual power plant. But they dont literally give out CO2, as they dont take in oxygen!!!!
...they arnt living!
