No, as it would spoil the idea of getting lots of gifts and not having to spend a thing, in other words freebies. I can buy myself something any other time of the year, so why would I do it on my birthday. If I want something then I asked someone or some people to get me it.

I just sent away for loads of freebies and samples and stuff. I love them too. I also love that most of them come in jiffy bags, so I don't have to buy my own when I sell stuff.

I usually do, because my husband doesn't have a clue. He gives me money to buy something for myself, so I don't mind. Once he tried to buy me some clothes, and I still laugh to myself every time I think about it. At least he tried, and I don't want to hurt his feelings.
Even if he didn't give me money, I would find a way to buy a little bit of something for myself, like a new pair of shoes.

Yes, I always buy myself a birthday gift. It can be something like maybe a new music CD I want, perhaps something like a book I've had my eye on for ages or a household appliance.
I even send myself a birthday card, from me to me. LOL.

You send yourself a birthday card? Well then, we do not have worry about your forgetting about yourself.

I guess this would be considered a gift. I do not have a lot of friends or family in the city where I live so my birthday is not really celebrated. On my birthday, I usually treat myself to a really nice dinner and possibly shopping. I have done this the last three years and without it my birthday would just feel like any other day and I do not like that. It is one day that I get to feel special, even if I have to fund the experience.

I'll only buy myself a birthday gift if someone gives me money for my birthday. So I guess that's not really me buying it but I do pick it out. Maybe that counts. ;p

Sure I do.
If not always, then almost always!
I will give in to my self-indulgence and get myself (if budget allows) what I feel like having.
I will just convince myself it is my birthday and I should be nice to myself!

Hi There,
No I cannot say that I have ever bought myself a birthday gift. Even when I am given money to go and buy a present I still do not. I end up taking that money and paying off bills or something. I dont think buying oneself a birthday gift would be a bad thing however.
cheers,

I actually have never bought myself a birthday gift. I don't really think about that. If someone does get me something then I'll be happy and if not then I don't really care to tell you the truth.

Yes I do buy myself birthday gifts. Last year I bought a computer for myself for my old one
just had it and needed to be replaced. I don't find nothing wrong in buying myself b-day gifts each year. I do it every year depending on what I want. This year I want to up grade to a new bigger sized t.v. I have a 32" now and I was a few inches bigger than what I have now and it to be a LCD where's I have a regular one now.
