I have had a laptop for nearly 3 years now, and i really would like to know how to view how many hours/days/weeks etc the computer has actually been turned on, i am sure that there is a way to do it. But i cant find out how.
If there are any computer experts out there, then please could you tell me.
I already know how you can view how long it has been since the last shut down, but i would like to know the TOTAL numbers of hours.
Please could someone tell me.
Regards,
Chris

I have seen one uptime statistic from a computer with "Everest Ultimate Edition", unfortunately its a $35 system diagnostic tool. Its a great tool for device IDs, diagnostics and simple benchmark. You could try the evaluation version to it check out.
A free alternative is SIW - Sytem Information for Windows @ http://www.gtopala.com/ similar and simpler to everest and just 1.5Mb in size. This will give you when you installed windows and running time in hh:mm:ss.
I'm curious how do you get uptime since last shutdown? What tool are you using?

Command prompt, go on start, run and then type in
cmd /k systeminfo | find "System Boot Time"
it will open cmd, and then it takes about 10 secs to go through stuff, and then it tells you the time last booted.
Thanks for your reply,
Chris
