my Broken hearted 6 year old

OK just about every day when my little princess gets off the school bus her hands are full of little hearts and piecs of papers with i love yous and xoxox's. half of her wall is decorated with all these little "love notes" pretty much since the first week of school. Well yesterday she got off the bus empty handed and in tears. i asked her what was the matter and she just shrugged me off. persuing more i begged her to tell me what made her so upset, she said she would tell me but i couldnt tell daddy because he would just get mad...OKAY? i replied very concered, then she threw her arms around me and sobbing on my shoulder she proclaimed "klye just broke up with me!!" part of me wanted to giggle becuase it was so cute her being 6 an all, the rest of me was so heart broken for her... i thought about it for a minute and i asked "why would daddy get mad?" "she responded "Daddy says i cant have a boyfriend until im married and that if he finds out that a boy broke my heart that the boy will be sorry." i couldnt help it i laughed so hard she looked at me with such anger.." you dont even care my heart is broken??" and stormed into her room.. i tried to talk to her but she kept yelling at me to get out of her room.
i couldnt help but laugh it was sooo cute!

Oh that is so funny..I remember when my 6 y/o son said that his girl is no longer his, but Travis' girl now..I didn't laugh out loud, but I gave him a hug so he couldn't see my face and looked at his sister who in turn looked at me and we had these huge grins on our faces..

Its sooooo cute.
actually now children are like adultys. they know so many things and also act like adults. its like my 3.5 year old niece wanted to say to my mom, that she wants to marry the boy she danced with in her school function. we all loved. she can't write alphabets and know what is marriage.

I think that was cute for her to have a puppy crush like she did. I would have to agree w/ you on how you felt. I know she was distraut by this but she is just a little thing still and has to understand that this kind of thing will happen through out her life depending on who she is w/ and what becomes of it. Even though she is mad at you for thinking you didn't care for her broken heart and all that you tried to talk to her and she pushed you away give it some time she will come around once she calms down and your able to talk to her. I hope she lightens up a little for you. Good luck take care.
