Buddy is a stray left where I work. i have been building her trust over the last month. She went missing for 5 days and when she came back she was holding her leg up, and it is very swollen. Well I got to pet her the day she came back. Only because she was not able to run away. Today, we gave her a Benadryl and got her sleepy enough to get her in my van. She was very scared and moved around a lot at first, them laid down and slept till we got home. I have someone to take her in, but they are afraid their dog will hurt her leg more because he doesn't like other dogs. NOW i have to keep her until her leg gets better, then the person will take her. We are so happy that she is here!! She has been at our work for 3 months!! She is a great dog and if she ever learns to trust humans she will make a great pet. As it is I am the only one she really trusts. i wish i could keep her, but if my land lady found out I had another dog here, she'd probably evict us!! Say what ever you feel, but if you need a direct question: Have you ever had a wild dog? And did you tame it?

It is great to hear that you took her in to nurse her back to health. YOu really should take her to the vet her leg could be broken and need to be put in a cast she could have even a slight fracture my kitty is in a cast right now from my daughter shutting her leg in the door. I hope she heals quickly. Good for you for taking care of her.

If I can get a look at it closer up and her calm, I will know what is wrong. I mean it there is a cut or something or if it something inside. She let my daughter go to the bathroom, where she is. She let her pet her also. The person she will be going to is the one that carried her to the van and put her in. She has been around Buddy longer than I have. I just fed Buddy Veianna sausages!

Hi Tammy, I'm so pleased you posted this update, I was wondering how things were. It's great that she is with you but I'm sorry she has a sore foot. I hope this other persons dog isn't a problem. I suppose it's better than nothing. Fingers crossed.

She is doing so much better. She LOVES to have her belly rubbed. This morning she rolled over 'asking' for a belly rub! Her foot is not to good. It is still swollen and I can tell it hurts her. I have been giving her baby asprin, it seems to help but I can't be sure really.
